Does Doccy bulk bill medical certificates?
No. Doccy does not bulk bill medical certificates. We charge a transparent, upfront fee for each consultation and certificate.
Why we don't bulk bill
Medicare's telehealth rules require providers to be an "eligible telehealth practitioner" to bulk bill most GP telehealth services. In practice, that usually means the patient has seen the provider face-to-face in the past 12 months, or is registered with them via MyMedicare. Telehealth-only services like Doccy don't have that established relationship with most patients, so bulk billing isn't available in the same way as at your usual GP clinic.
Rather than navigating Medicare eligibility and variable rebates, Doccy uses a simple, predictable pricing model. You pay a clear fee and receive your certificate from an AHPRA-registered doctor without any gap fees or rebate paperwork.
What you get instead
Doccy medical certificates start from $12.90 for one day and are issued by qualified Australian doctors via telehealth. This is often cheaper than a GP gap fee ($40+) or a pharmacy certificate ($25–$35), and you can get your certificate from home without waiting rooms or appointments.
