Three outcomes, one application, the same evidence.
An Extenuating Circumstances Application, or ECA, is ANU's process for circumstances beyond your control that affected an assessment. You apply within five working days of the due date or the scheduled exam through the Request for Assessment Adjustment page in ANUHub.
Where illness stopped you sitting an exam, the ECA is the route to a deferred sitting. The dates of impact on the medical documentation need to cover the scheduled examination date.
Where the affected task is not an exam, the same application supports more time. ANU asks for the date the condition began or unexpectedly worsened as well as the impact dates, so an extension can be matched to the period you were affected.
