Curtin's assessment extension guidance does not address modality. It asks for a signed medical certificate or a statement on official letterhead from a medical practitioner or other approved health professional registered by the relevant National Board, and says nothing about whether the consultation was in person or by telehealth.

What Curtin asks for
Curtin has no practitioner section. The certificate carries the doctor's opinion, so what it states is what decides the outcome.

This is Curtin's route for extra time on an assignment, test or other assessment affected by illness. You lodge the request through Curtin Connect and attach the certificate. Apply before the due date wherever possible, because a late request needs a written explanation as well as the evidence.
A deferred exam is a sit of the same exam at a later date when illness stops you attending the scheduled one. Curtin runs it through the same assessment extension application rather than a separate form. The certificate needs to cover the exam date itself.
Where illness runs long enough that finishing the unit is not realistic, Curtin can consider a withdrawal that does not count against your academic record. This is a separate request handled by Curtin Connect and asks for the same kind of practitioner evidence, usually covering a longer period.

See a doctor while you are unwell and tell them which assessment or exam is affected and on what dates.
Get a signed medical certificate that names the practitioner's registration and covers the dates you could not study or sit.
Log in to Curtin Connect and open the assessment extension application, which also covers deferred exams.
Enter the unit, the assessment and the dates, then attach the certificate as your supporting documentation.
Lodge before the assessment or exam. If you are already past it, lodge within five working days and explain in writing why you could not apply in time.

Curtin's published guidance does not mention telehealth or modality either way. It asks for a signed certificate from a practitioner registered with the relevant National Board. If your situation is unusual, check with Curtin Connect before you rely on any certificate.
