UWA does not use the phrase special consideration for assessment. Apply for an exceptional variation of assessment through your Student Advising Office, no later than three calendar days after the assessment's due date, with documentation covering the dates you were impacted.
When the medical impact reaches seven days or more, either in one application or across several applications that total seven days within a teaching period. Below seven days, an ordinary medical certificate covering the dates is enough.

What the certificate must state, and what gets it refused.

The onset and end dates of the condition, and the assessment types affected. The practitioner's name, registration and practice details, in a format that cannot be edited.

Below that, ordinary documentation is enough. Documentation must cover the dates you were impacted or the period before the due date. Evidence that starts after the due date usually falls outside the 48 hour window and is not eligible. UWA accepts registrations beyond AHPRA, including AASW, PACFA and ACA, depending on the practitioner.

An adjustment changes how or when you complete the task, for example extra time or a later sit. It is the usual EVA outcome for a short illness that overlaps an assignment or a timed assessment.
