Murdoch's deferred assessment guidance asks for current, independent supporting documentation that is directly applicable to the reason given and states the dates you were affected. It does not address telehealth or modality, but it does exclude pharmacists and requires a practice stamp.

A deferred assessment lets you sit the final exam later when illness stops you attending the scheduled one. You complete the Application for Deferment of Final Exam and your doctor completes the medical certificate section inside it. Applications are processed from Week 13 of the teaching period.
The same evidence supports deferring an in-semester assessment where illness stops you completing it. Talk to your unit coordinator about the task itself, and keep the certificate covering the exact dates you were unfit.
Where illness runs beyond a single assessment, Murdoch can consider a withdrawal that does not count against your record. This needs documentation covering the longer period rather than the exam day alone, and the same stamp and registration rules apply.

Download the Application for Deferment of Final Exam from myMurdoch, or collect it from Student Central.
Take the form to your consultation. The medical certificate section is inside the application and is completed by the practitioner, not by you.
Check the practitioner has recorded the consultation dates, the degree of impact with the from and to dates, and has stamped the form. Murdoch refuses a form without a stamp.
Complete your own sections of the application and attach any other supporting documentation.
Email the completed application to deferred@murdoch.edu.au no later than three University Working Days after the date of your original exam.
